Shaun the Sheep Land Rover

Details

Land Rover has teamed up with Aardman to take Shaun the Sheep on the road. Shaun's new wheels will be seen all around the UK.

The Land Rover was built to copy the car driven by The Farmer in the new Wallace & Gromit spin-off series Shaun the Sheep, which has been a runaway success on BBC1 and CBBC. When the idea of building a real-life version of The Farmer's 4x4 was mooted, Land Rover wasted no time in drafting in top technical man Roger Crathorne. The car is based on a Series Land Rover, but is a mix of several models, using a 1951 Series I chassis, wheels from a 101 forward control and even some panels from the 2007 Defender. "It took seven weeks to finish and is now completely roadworthy." says Roger.
