The 'Huzar' 6x6

Huzar 6x6
Team Marek Pasierbski Co. is an authorized Jaguar Land Rover dealer in Wroclaw, western Poland near the German Border. Besides being a Land Rover dealer they have nearly 15 years experience in undertaking conversion work based mainly on Land Rover Defender chassis. They use their own manufacturer trained technicians supplying converted cars to many customers. They convert vehicles for the army, police, military police, border guard and fire brigade as well as for civilian customers, for example copper and open coal mines. They developed this 6x6 vehicle, called 'Huzar'. It is based on a Defender 130 platform, using the best engines available at the time. The 300tdi, Td5 and the 2.4 Td4 (PUMA) engine have all been used at some time. Jaguar Land Rover Poland demonstrated it to the Polish Armed Forces in 2004. The demonstration vehicle is powered by Land Rover's Td5 engine coupled with a five-speed gearbox and it's armouring was developed by AMZ Kutno. All models can be fitted with modular Class IV armour including top protection. The wheels are equipped with inserts that allow driving even after a tyre has been hit by machine gun fire. This construction has nothing common (except a third axle) with the Perentie. Huzar has coil spring suspension (front and rear), the third axle is driven from a modified diff on the second axle.
RAWAR Huzar vehicles
These special versions of the Huzar were designed by the company for RAWAR S.A., a Polish company specializing in the production of missile defence systems. These vehicles are in service with an Asian military customer.

HUZAR - mining versions - SWT-TEAM 20
These versions of the Huzar platform are intended for use in copper, zinc and lead mines
The vehicles were developed because of a request from Copper Mines KGHM „Polska Miedź” S.A., who needed new vehicles for transport functions in their mines.
There are around 20 units in permanent operation (changed every 4-5 years) used 600 - 1000 metres underground to convoy the miners (19 persons), transport explosives and other auxiliary materials.
For this conversion they used vehicles with 300 TDI engines, with a maximum speed limit of 45 km/h.
SWT-TEAM 20 has maximum total weight 5,200 kgs, 6x4 drive, very good traction and full compatibility regarding spare parts with factory made Land Rover models.
