Enri Logart's Range Rover

Details

My car is a 1982 Range Rover two door, made in South Africa by Leyland. I have owned this car almost from new when it had 150,000 km on clock. 6 years ago I decided to make major changes to the vehicle.

Changes include a new 3.2 litre Isuzu turbodiesel engine, new interior, dashboard, the whole body was changed, the width between the tires is now bigger by 40 cm, so the vehicle is more stable when the angle is more than 37 degrees. The conversion was made on purpose as a semi-military vehicle. Stainless steel panels and protections are incorporated.

Gun shot resistant panels. Water tank and diesel extra tank on the roof. Water can be heated up for shower. 220V 1,4 KW electric power.

The night vision camera allows driving via a monitor with totally covered windows. This vehicle was tested and the result was more than good. In 2010 I drove this car from Cape Town to Europe in 3 weeks... made about 20,000km with no problems. Only oil and filters had to be changed. The proof of that achievement is in my passports. Stamps from each border ...time and place.

I have driven other 4x4 vehicles but Range Rover is the best car ever made. May be Toyota Landcruiser heavy duty can keep going as my car can... I dont think.... or dont know if other vechicle can do what an almost 30 year old Range Rover can do.
